"British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, on the other hand, was an outspoken opponent of a second front. He may have feared, as some historians suggest, that a landing in France might lead to a duplication of the murderous warfare associated with the battlefields of northern France in the First World War. But it is more likely that Churchill liked the idea that Hitler and Stalin were administering a major bloodletting to each other on the Eastern Front, and that he believed that London and Washington would benefit from a stalemated war in the East. Since he already had nearly three years of war experience, Churchill had much influence on Roosevelt, a newcomer to the war in Europe. It is therefore understandable that the opinion of the British leader ultimately prevailed, and that plans for opening a second front in 1942 were quietly discarded. In any event, Roosevelt himself discovered that this course of action – or rather, inaction – opened up some attractive prospects. 

For example, it allowed him, in spite of the “Germany First” principle, to quietly commit a high proportion of manpower and equipment to the war in the Pacific, which was very much “his” war, and where American interests were more directly at stake than in Europe. He and his military and political advisors also started to realize that defeating Germany would require huge sacrifices, which the American people would not be delighted to bring. Landing in France was tantamount to jumping into the ring for a face-off with a formidable German opponent, and, even if ultimately successful, that would be a bloody and costly affair. Was it not far wiser to stay safely on the sidelines, at least for the time being, and let the Soviets slug it out against the Nazis? "

Hello Military and Police! Anybody home? Think!

The following discussion is a very serious matter.  I hope those of you still resistant to admitting to yourselves that we Americans are living through the final stages of a war on liberty - waged by members our own government - against YOU and ME.... I hope you will consider the grave implications of the information presented in this discussion.

It is time for us to rally around the Constitution.  Why?  

Our Constitution, when we follow it,  serves as a legal mechanism providing a framework of rules by which we can live together in peace.  Like the We The People, the Constitution is also imperfect - but in our imperfect world it's a practical framework that works - that is - if and only if We The People ensure adherence to its principles.  The recent arbitrary arrest and detention of Brandon Raub - with the participation of the FBI, local police and "justice" system, and members of the medical community prove that our government servants think they are are masters.

Let's not forget the complicit moribund corporate media - who follow the pattern of calling Constitutionalists "crazy" - then visit THIS LINK to see that foreign troops on US soil is a reality.




There are things we will never all agree on - that will never change - so we must accept it and find a way to work together to find a best way.  The Constitution provides a means for individualism to thrive by protecting unpopular ideas while providing for common needs.  It is hard to defend one's country if it is a country of anarchists if an overwhelming coherent force is the threat.  There are times a structure must be in place to keep the peace, provide for common defense, and make sure everyone has their day in court.

There is so much information, personalities, truths, half-truths and lies swirling about us no matter where we look - it becomes overwhelming to some - especially those just now getting involved - just now taking a look - just now beginning to try to understand who is telling the truth or not, what are their agendas, who to believe and the rest of it.  That's where the Constitution and Bill of Rights comes in.  It provides a common ground from which to work together - while maintaining our individuality and pursuing our own goals. Those intent on its destruction, those participating in actions that deny persons their rights without due process - they are the ones we can identify easily as common enemies of We The People.

Today - there is almost nothing left of the Constitution which brings us to the Declaration of Independence.  This founding document clearly states the justification of forming new government when the present government no longer serves We The People.  Today, as when it was written, the Declaration of Independence and the principles enshrined therein are being seen as "terrorist" in nature. Like King George III our present rulers find such ideals as liberty and limits on the powers of government as threats to their power.  Indeed they are .

The Brandon Raub arrest by the FBI and Virginia police demonstrates beyond any doubt that our government WILL come to take you away.  They did it to Brandon and they'll do it to you.  There is more as you will see in the following video.

The people behind this arrest - I mean at the top - have not been identified yet to my knowledge.  No one has been fired despite Brandon Raub's immediate release from a psychiatric hospital he was held in and abused by a member of the medical "profession."  No medical licenses have been revoked for those who willingly acted as low-level enforcers of would-be tyrants.  They must be penalized because our system of law uses punishment as a corrective mechanism - without punishment there is no deterrent to make those abusing their power to think twice when it's your or my turn to be labeled "crazy" or "extreme" or a "terrorist" for doing nothing more than Paul Revere did on his famous ride.

I applaud Oathkeepers for their peaceful exercise of First Amendment rights - the billboard is an outstanding way to keep the pressure on the bad guys by informing the public and members of the military about the present crisis we are living through.  Thanks Stewart Rhodes.

The pursuit of universal agreement and love is a noble cause - but human history serves as a lesson that our imperfections as human beings often stand in the way.  These "imperfections" are part of the human experience - sometimes leading to good and sometimes leading to evil.  We must embrace our differences, limitations, and individual limits as part of what it means to be a human being.  The Constitution was created as a framework of laws to protect our individual liberties.  That is the only job of government in the end.  They are doing the opposite.

This is a powerful statement that raises important questions - and demands swift actions.....link here

"The petition is so devoid of any factual allegations that it could not be reasonably expected to give rise to a case or controversy," said the release order signed by Sharrett, vacating the order of Special Justice Walter Douglas Stokes to detain Raub for 30 days. Stokes, who presides over commitment hearings, also ordered Raub's transfer to the VA hospital in Salem, about 180 miles from his home. Judge Sharrett said he was shocked to find the commitment order contained no grounds for holding Raub."

I've picked on Alex Jones in the past - but that is because I have assigned myself the position -  official gadfly - to keep everyone to the same standards.

Who am I to judge anyone?  Just another taxpaying American citizen.

I've heard all kinds of criticism of Alex Jones - but it is absurd to conclude anything - in my evaluation at least - but that Alex is doing everything he can - more than most - and beating the formerly "mainstream media" literally to death with truth.

His organization is growing and is one of several key players reshaping the battlefield upon which we infowarriors fight.  Success speaks for itself  - as evidenced by the actions of the former dominators of the media - as they incorporate Alex's media products into their info-menu. 

 The video linked below is yet another example that Alex is supporting our troops, not with a bumper sticker, but with timely information where one of OUR MARINE VETERANS was locked up without reason or facts - Brandon Raub - by FBI and local police in Virginia.

Alex brings much-needed attention to the Rutherford Institute and Brandon Raub's case at a this critical time - a time of power-grabs by those intent on disposing of the Bill of Rights.  

I also applaud Judge W. Allan Sharrett for doing the right thing in this case - and hope the Judge does not face harassment for standing up for ALL OF OUR RIGHTS.  

After you watch the excellent interview below I ask you, reader, to consider some questions that arise from this incident* :  

1.   "Something's happened to the police" John Whitehead says in the interview.  Is it possible that the psychological testing used in the past to vet police candidates has been abandoned for a process that favors hiring psychopaths?

2.  "How can we support the Rutherford Institute?" - the answer is DONATIONS from YOU.  Your financial support is required if the Rutherford Institute is to continue their work.  

3.  Why are the participants of Brandon Raub's arrest* - FBI and police in the video - not charged with false arrest?  After all, Judge  W. Allan Sharrett stated that there was no factual basis to Brandon Raub's arrest.

4.  WHO ordered this arrest?  Yes - the FBI and local cops are responsible for actually arresting Brandon Raub - but who gave the orders?  If these orders were not based in fact - then what were the charges based upon?  

5.  If there was no factual basis to Brandon Raub's arrest - on what information were the conclusions of the government psychologists based on?  Why are they not held accountable?  

6.  Why haven't the local police and police chief that justified and participated in this illegal arrest not fired?  Since they have demonstrated via their ACTIONS that they are not concerned with facts when executing arrest orders - shouldn't we ignore their WORDS and fire them RIGHT NOW to SET THE EXAMPLE THAT ANY LAW ENFORCEMENT PARTICIPATING IN ILLEGAL ARRESTS  WILL BE TERMINATED.

7.  If the second judge found that there were NO FACTS to support Brandon Raub's arrest - upon what did the first judge that locked him up base his decision?

8.  Since the question "Have you been committed to the custody of the commissioner of behavioral health and developmental services?" appears on the Virginia application to obtain a concealed carry permit - and some other questions implying mental health - isn't it logical to suspect that such arrests under mental health pretexts are a great way to ensure that "unpopular speakers" can be preemptively disarmed by smearing them with such charges?

9.  Why hasn't there been an immediate inquiry into those submitting false charges against an innocent Marine veteran who did us all a favor by exercising unpopular free speech?  Why?

I offer an olive branch to Glenn Beck - there is a lot in this video - too much to discuss - 

Thanks Glenn Beck for bringing exposure to an important issue - the illegal arrest of one of OUR TROOPS - Glenn shows by his actions in this vid, that he is supporting our troops by bringing current updated information to his audience.

I disagree with Glenn on many issues - but - in the time that has passed since I wrote an article abusing him for nothing more than exercising his own freedom of speech in a certain video - I hear contrition in Glenn's words.  Giving some ground somewhere takes guts.  

Just as Glenn Beck has demonstrated that he is willing to give a little ground if those he is trying to come to terms with - to understand - to find a way to live together - if that is what Glenn Beck is really all about - then - I admit I have the same goals as Glenn Beck.  

...and - I admit that my mind has changed on some HUGE issues I was just as vocal about, passionate about - as Glenn Beck was.

There is no way for all of us to come together to find a peaceful and prosperous future - no terrorism, no war, not hate - it's all a waste - maybe we can all agree on that and find a way to make it happen.

So...there it is from one of the biggest Glenn Beck critics - and I'll remain to be one - as I am of myself too -

Please consider this recent development following the arrest of one of OUR VETERANS ..... (LINK here):

"CHESTERFIELD, VA— The Rutherford Institute has come to the defense of a former Marine, 26-year-old Brandon Raub, who was arrested, detained indefinitely in a psych ward and forced to undergo psychological evaluations based solely on the controversial nature of lines from song lyrics, political messages and virtual card games which he posted to his private Facebook page. 

Although the FBI and Chesterfield County police have not charged Brandon Raub, a resident of Chesterfield County, Va., with committing any crime, they arrested Raub on Thursday, August 16, 2012, and transported him to John Randolph Medical Center, where he was held against his will due to alleged concerns that his Facebook posts were controversial and “terrorist in nature.” In a hearing held at the hospital, government officials disregarded Raub’s explanation that the Facebook posts were being interpreted out of context, sentencing him up to 30 days’ further confinement in a VA psych ward. In coming to Raub’s defense, Rutherford Institute attorneys are challenging Raub’s arrest and forcible detention, as well as the government’s overt Facebook surveillance and violation of Raub’s First Amendment rights.

“For government officials to not only arrest Brandon Raub for doing nothing more than exercising his First Amendment rights but to actually force him to undergo psychological evaluations and detain him against his will goes against every constitutional principle this country was founded upon. This should be a wake-up call to Americans that the police state is here,” said John W. Whitehead, president of The Rutherford Institute.""

Actions vs. Words

Here in Virginia, not too long ago , we were treated to the words of State government leaders that arbitrary arrests of outspoken Virginians by power-mad Federal enforcers would not be aided by State employees:

"On Wednesday, the Virginia legislature overwhelmingly passed a law that forbids state agencies from cooperating with any federal attempt to exercise the indefinite detention without due process provisions written into sections 1021 and 1022 of the National Defense Authorization Act.

HB1160 “Prevents any agency, political subdivision, employee, or member of the military of Virginia from assisting an agency of the armed forces of the United States in the conduct of the investigation, prosecution, or detention of a United States citizen in violation of the United States Constitution, Constitution of Virginia, or any Virginia law or regulation.”"

Since the actions of the power-hungry Feds trump the words of the law abiding today in Amerika -a Marine veteran was locked up and sent to a psychological hospital for evaluation - with the help of the police.  

The actions of the Stalinist feds once again prove that our Virginia government workers are just talk.  There were local police involved in the arrest - so they just went along with the plan - you know - to just..... lock him up.....no charges.  Just following orders ... they obviously "know nothing" about the Bill of Rights.....but this is no laughing matter...

The point was made by citizens that the HB1160 law was just words - since nowhere did these great protectors of our rights put into their words on paper that they would actually do anything to stop the Feds if the feds did indeed attempt to violate our rights.  In this case - the local government workers masquerading as police just helped out.  I guess they care more about their stinkin' jobs than they do about the rights of the citizens they are supposed to protect.  Are you surprised?  I'm not.

Are YOU next?  

It's funny - many people think that they can call the police to save them if someone comes to forcibly remove them from their home for arbitrary reasons.  Not any more.  It's the cops and plainclothes gunslingers violating your rights now - maybe we should fire all of them before they arrest any more of us.  What good are these trigger-happy scofflaws?

When will the knock come at your door?  It may not be for you - it may be for your family member who just got home from the wars the neo-cons started.  Maybe you can very carefully, not making any sudden moves around "police" you know - very carefully hold up a copy of HB1160 when they come to get you.  It might work - but I doubt it - because laws mean nothing when you are staring down the barrel of a gun.  And that's what they brought to arrest this veteran.  They brought guns and gun-slingers - but no legal foundation for their actions.  Kinda' reminds me of a witch-hunt.  At least they didn't kill him or anyone around or any dogs.  The cameras probably helped.

I give thanks to the Rutherford Institute - because you never know - it may not be You that is next - it might be Me requiring their services.  They must be a welcome site from the inside of a jail cell - or - psychiatric hospital.

Jail for unpopular speech.  How crazy is that?  How ironic indeed - that enforcers crazy enough to trample our Bill of Rights and everything it stands for - took their victim to a psychiatric hospital for evaluation.  Talk about the nuts running the nut-house.

If local government and law enforcement don't stiffen their spines soon - they will prove their worthlessness to a public tired of paying for them to abuse us.  If that's all they care about - their jobs - and not the preservation of liberty - perhaps after they are layed off and they start bitching they will find themselves in the very same psychiatric ward for evaluation.

Wowee!  This police chief is a Colonel!  Remind me to salute!  I am sorry - Colonel Sir - but it is really really really hard to understand why you had to handcuff a man upon which you had no charges....Sir.  

Oh wait - a shrink told you he's crazy?  Do the shrinks make the laws Colonel Sir?  

Or are you too chicken to face up to the feds and do your job?

(AP) WASHINGTON - Suicides are surging among America's troops, averaging nearly one a day this year — the fastest pace in the nation's decade of war.

The 146 suicides for active-duty troops in the first 148 days of the year far outdistance the U.S. forces killed in action in Afghanistan — about 50 percent more — according to Pentagon statistics obtained by The Associated Press.

The numbers reflect a military burdened with wartime demands from Iraq and Afghanistan that have taken a greater toll than foreseen a decade ago. The military also is struggling with increased sexual assaults, alcohol abuse, domestic violence and other misbehavior.

Because suicides had leveled off in 2010 and 2011, this year's upswing has caught some officials by surprise."

Our police - as a whole - are a complete disgrace to everything America is supposed to stand for.  There is no excuse for "just following orders" -prior to examination of said orders to determine LEGALITY - not over the weekend - after the fact - showing up on Monday with a new story that contradicts earlier excuses for violating a citizens' rights - NOT EVEN if those orders came from a "mental health crisis intervention government worker."

Conclusion

Those with no respect for the rights of citizens should quit police work or be fired.  Unless they are auditioning for a role in the stalag they are helping to erect ....
