Texas board probing psychologist's work for CIA

""Based on the public record as we know it, James Mitchell has forfeited his right to be a licensed psychologist in Texas, and we expect that the board will see it the same way," said Joseph Margulies, Abu Zubaydah's civilian lawyer.
Dicky Grigg, an Austin attorney whose name also appears on the complaint, said he believes the only thing that will be in dispute is whether the board will accept an explanation that Mitchell acted in the name of national security."

Note:  Torturing people is, in itself, a threat to the security of everyone in this country since it is a recruiting tool for "enemies" - real or imagined - existing or created by the torture.  Don't forget that this "mental health professional" has also given the green light for our POWs to be tortured, since we no longer have the moral authority to complain if our guys are tortured.  Throw this bum in jail at the very least.

It's about time something is being done in the self-policing department of the medical community.  Better step up the pace before the violent revolutionaries outpace the slow legal system that never seems to hold anybody accountable.

Note:  This is perplexing.   Americans torture captives in their custody.  But somehow we are supposed to take lectures on proper prisoner treatment from a Pentagon that tortures?

Don't ever forget that those who've tortured prisoners on behalf of America have increased the probability that our POWs will be tortured.  "An eye for an eye."

The chickens are coming home to roost for America.  Failing to recognize that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction leads to unpleasant consequences.

Ha ha ha ha. What a bunch of hypocrites. I suggest the U.S. State Department shut their faces since the United States is guilty of TORTURE. No moral high ground here anymore. What right does a government that tortures and asserts the right to kill its own citizens have to criticize anyone?

The United States federal government has forfeited the moral high ground earned by generations of Americans going all the way back to George Washington - yet they continue to live in their delusional disconnected fake reality - that somehow the world hasn't noticed that they are a bunch of paid-off whores, liars, cheats, hypocrites, warmongers, murderers and torturers. And that this world will listen to the U.S. State Department as if they really had something to say that wasn't self-serving propaganda.

This government makes me sick. I wish they would stop embarrassing us taxpayers and just shut their pie-holes.

By the way - isn't it really odd - that Israeli soldiers killed an American citizen by shooting him four times in the head - with not a peep out of this government in protest - since Israel did it. Yet it's big news when the Iranians are going to stone someone to death. Don't get me wrong - this punishment from Iran is barbaric and disgusting to me. It really discredits that nation. It makes me wonder - what kind of people are the Iranians that they would actually stone someone to death for adultery - something that seems fashionable in Hollywood?

But looking inward - it also makes one wonder what the rest of the world thinks of us Americans - a democratic republic - that tortures, allows the murder of its own citizens, claims the right to murder its own citizens without trial, and killed its own people on September 11, 2001. What does the world think about Americans - who are proud to serve in uniform in a military that has engaged in two illegal wars of aggression, and continues them as occupiers - supporting the heroin trade - while claiming to fight a "war on drugs" at home? I'll bet the rest of the world thinks we need to shut up. I'll bet the rest of the world would be happy to see America get a taste of its own medicine - after all - applying the standards of those who preach gospel - what does "an eye for an eye" mean?

Perhaps I sound like a sanctimonious broken record - but then again - so does my government and it is my duty to speak out when I observe their disconnect with reality.

The U.S. government has discredited itself through its actions. For a while their words - propagated by a phony crony media of retired generals and sundry suck-ups was able to continue acting contrary to American values - but the media spell is wearing off. Their actions have become so obscene, so inexcusable that the best propaganda apparatus the world has ever known can no longer prop them up. Their days are numbered - their fall is ineluctable - only the "when" remains in question.

As we joe-six-packs join forces and sort out who the good guys are and who the bad guys are - things will slowly start to come around - as the deluded begin to realize that the party is over. But unless we all shout loud, act decisively and do our part - whatever that is - they will lapse back into their steady-state of "gimme gimme gimme more."

Remember - 911 is the crime that got us all into this mess - and we are going to have to face that as a country. It is ugly. The 911 truth movement and peace movement better come together or they will die together - divided and conquered.

Remember that we were lied into these wars of aggression and occupation. The citizens of ANY occupied country - America, Iraq, or Afghanistan not only have the right - they have the DUTY to overthrow their oppressors. As oppressors, we Americans have forfeited the most important aspect of any war - being justified and on the side of good. We are NOT.

Remember that serving ones country doesn't mean carrying an automatic rifle into someone else's country as is the popular depiction - serving one's country means fixing it when it is broken, kicking out bad government that no longer serves its purpose, and governing the governors. (as Thomas Jefferson said.)

It is time to put the flags down and turn the critical thinking skills up. It is time to support the troops by bringing them home rather than enabling nutcases sending them to die for undefinable goals and the opium trade. It is time to stop wasting our tax money on bullshit - and start fixing roads, bridges, and our infrastructure in general. It is time for solar power.

It is time for a revolution. I hope we can keep it peaceful - violence is a crap shoot. Turned out bad for the Romans in the long run when they killed Julius Caesar. But if our government claims the right to murder us - what are we supposed to do next - start walking into gas chambers?

I hope anyone reading this will take a look in the mirror and ask themselves "What am I getting out of all this?" The honest American will know the answer: Loss of liberty - loss of U.S. sovereignty. Loss of freedom of speech. Loss of right to bear arms. All for what? For nothing.

The deluded person will cling to their belief that somebody somewhere in the U.S. government cares about them - despite Katrina, despite the 911 murder of our own citizens, despite wars based on lies, despite a sold-out economy.

The deluded person will ignore the reality that the Federal Reserve is a scam - charging us to use our own money. The deluded person will say "support our troops" without finishing the sentence: "Occupying countries who's resources we covet."

We Americans better force OUR House of Representatives to get real - now. We Americans must DEMAND control over OUR airwaves that are supposed to serve US. We are approaching a point of no return. Don't ask me how I know this - I have no crystal ball - but I have studied history. Current events are lining us up for civil war, revolution, world war and depression combined. Yes - that's the severity as I see it - and I have to call it as I see it.

Get on the phone, get involved, attend meetings, get informed - and listen to everything you can. Open your mind and take on ideas that you have previously refused to listen to that you thought were "crazy." Just try it - listen to the end and reserve judgement until you have given the "crazy person" a chance to explain. You may be surprised how much truth lies in the fringes of our society - since the corporate monopolization of our media has pushed truth there.

To conclude and make a long story short: Torturers and murderers don't get to complain about torture and murder. It is as simple as that.

Human Experimentation at the Heart of Bush Administration's Torture Program

" High-value detainees captured during the Bush administration's "war on terror," who were subjected to brutal torture techniques, were used as "guinea pigs" to gauge the effectiveness of various torture techniques, a practice that has raised troubling comparisons to Nazi-era human experimentation. according to a disturbing new report released by Physicians for Human Rights, an international doctors' organization."

Bush's Hypocrisy on War Crimes

In Amerika - our world truly seems to have been turned on its head: Upside-down if you will in EVERY WAY.

I'm not trying to be funny. But what do Americans do when their government is committing war crimes? What is a war crime? Why not ask the accused what a war crime is? Then we can use their own definition to make sure they know the difference between right and wrong - allowing them a courtesy not granted to the citizens - allowances for ignorance of the law.

" America waterboarded prisoners
The argument seems to have boiled down to whether or not waterboarding is torture or not. Some say yes, others say no. The question is not whether or not it was done. There are also conflicts regarding the value of torture - but illegal is illegal regardless of the monstrosity justified or beliefs held. Here is a review to help you follow this contorted path of cruelty."

CIA Man Retracts Claim on Waterboarding

Read entire article here:

" "It works, is the bottom line," conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh exclaimed on his radio show the day after Kiriakou's ABC interview. "Thirty to 35 seconds, and it works."

A cascade of similar acclamations followed, muffling -- to this day -- the later revelation that Zubaydah had in fact been waterboarded at least 83 times.

Had Kiriakou left out something the first time?

Now comes John Kiriakou, again, with a wholly different story. On the next-to-last page of a new memoir, The Reluctant Spy: My Secret Life in the CIA's War on Terror (written with Michael Ruby), Kiriakou now rather off handedly admits that he basically made it all up."

One American's Thoughts on Torture

----------------------------

I spent a lot of time in the woods as a kid. Heck, we picked Aluminum cans, soda bottles (for the deposit), copper and scrap metals of many sorts. We built bunks, forts and treehouses. We wrecked those of others. It was all part of the fun of being a kid. One day while walking through the forest I came upon the decomposing body of a cat suspended by two trees - dead. The mouth was still open as though screaming. All four limbs were still tied to trees that supported this poor creature during its last hideous moments on Earth as its captor - someone posing as a human being - tortured this animal to death. The cat was half rotten by the time I found it and many details escape me thankfully - but I'll never forget the feeling it gave me. Not a good feeling.

A few days ago we took "The Bear" (my cat) to the veterinarian to have a breathing issue looked at. He's a Black Persian and getting old so his fur was badly matted as well. After the medical stuff was completed one tech who's expertise is grooming entered the room to comb out some of the mats and shave some of the matted fur off. The Bear didn't like it. He carried on and did what cats do when they are being groomed and they don't like it - so it became time to put a muzzle on the little guy. We had to wrap him up in a towel to immobilize him as well because of the claws. It isn't easy sometimes doing that to an old friend - or even someone else's pet, or sick loved one in the hospital - but we continue because we know it is for their own good. Yeah - they are terrified because they are immobilized, at the mercy, and in the hands of their captor - but when it's all over - we all feel better because we did something GOOD.

As we were putting the Bear into the muzzle and Bear looked at me before his eyes were covered I thought about how easy it would be to betray him. How once he is immobilized - he is completely at our mercy. I would never betray that trust - but I know there are those who would. Why? Why - is exactly what I will never understand completely because thankfully I don't have that need to satisfy.

What goes through the minds of our taxpayer-supported torturers as they look into the eyes of someone they are going to immobilize just like we did in a medical situation - but with just the opposite intentions?

What goes through the minds of American leaders of such lowly ranks as President of the United States and Secretary of Defense of Torture when they deny justice by covering up torture?

What would they think as they looked into the eyes of someone about to be tortured at the hands of Americans paid for with my tax dollars? Would they realize, or even care, as I do - that those eyes will never be the same?

I would sooner forgive an executioner than a torturer because the executioner in some cases can "do their job" in a merciful way - whereas the torturer NEVER CAN.

As far as Gates - I'll throw this one in there since he's an Aggie. (This means he's stupid because everybody knows all Aggies are stupid) The motto of Texas A&M University is that "An Aggie does not Lie, Cheat or Steal, or Tolerate those who do" Well I already know they will tolerate non-payment of contractors for time and materials work on-campus by well-heeled suppliers who ,while refusing to pay, continue to do business at A&M. But what I learned in addition from this situation is that at least ONE AGGIE WILL TOLERATE TORTURERS- BECAUSE GATES IS AN AGGIE AND HIS NON-RELEASE OF TORTURE PHOTOS SHOWS TOLERATION FOR TORTURE.

If my logic, spelling, grammar or other show flaws - please let me know so I can fix it.

U.S. Secretary of Defense of Torture blocks release of torture photos

Read more here:

" Gates' new authority comes from a law, signed by President Barack Obama last month, that gives the Secretary of Defense the power to rule that photos of detainees are exempt from release under the Freedom of Information Act. Gates' action on Friday was the first use of the new FOIA exemption since it passed Congress last month. The photos in question are the subject of a years-long legal fight by the American Civil Liberties Union, which first filed a FOIA request for records pertaining to detainee treatment, rendition, and death in May of 2005. The case is currently being reviewed by the Supreme Court."

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) had sued for the release of 21 color photos under the Freedom of Information Act. "

What do you expect from Robert Gates? Everybody knows that all Aggies are stupid.

Here's a paragraph from his Wikipedia page. I'll provide a translation beneath :

" Robert Michael Gates (born September 25, 1943) is currently serving as the 22nd United States Secretary of Defense. He took office on December 18, 2006.[2] Prior to this, Gates served for 26 years in the Central Intelligence Agency and the National Security Council, and under President George H. W. Bush as Director of Central Intelligence. Immediately after being recruited by the CIA, he served as an officer in the United States Air Force.[3][4] After leaving the CIA, Gates became president of Texas A&M University and was a member of several corporate boards. Gates also served as a member of the Iraq Study Group, the bipartisan commission co-chaired by James A. Baker III and Lee Hamilton, that has studied the Iraq War. He was also the first pick to serve as Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security when it was created following the September 11 attacks, but he declined the appointment in order to remain President of Texas A&M University.[5]"

Translation: Yes Man
American Interrogator says Torture costs American Lives

You see, Gates doesn't care about our troops deployed overseas - because until the torture issue is settled, all captured Americans are in grave danger of torture by their captors. Maybe I can make this easy for Gates to understand: "an eye for an eye." That is the deal you are making for every member of the American armed services you F&%K. Now tell me how you are protecting those Americans?
