"SEATTLE -- KIRO 7 has confirmed that Maurice Clemmons is dead.
Pierce County Sheriff's spokesman Ed Troyer said the suspected killer of four Lakewood police officers was shot in a confrontation with Seattle police early Tuesday morning.
The officer-involved shooting happened on S. Kenyon St. in Rainier Valley.
Neighbors tell KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reporter Rick Price they were woken up by gunshots around 2:30 a.m."

Note: This stuff isn't even news anymore. I take offense with term "police-killer" or "cop-killer" as if a policeman/policewoman's life is more valuable than a non-police person's life.

"Maurice Clemmons, the 37-year-old Tacoma man being sought for questioning in the killing this morning of four Lakewood police officers, has a long criminal record punctuated by violence, erratic behavior and concerns about his mental health.
Nine years ago, then-Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee granted clemency to Clemmons, commuting his lengthy prison sentence over the protests of prosecutors
...Clemmons' criminal history includes at least five felony convictions in Arkansas and at least eight felony charges in Washington. The record also stands out for the number of times he has been released from custody despite questions about the danger he posed."

Note: You'd think with the police state we are funding that possibly by default somebody could have prevented this from happening. They did not. That's what you are getting for your tax money - nothing. Regardless of who did this four cops are dead. Nothing will fix that. Also one wonders where all this hatred of police is coming from? It can't be coming from pregnant women being Tasered, BART shooting, police brutality, the phony war on drugs. No - that can't have anything to do with it.
