"Officials in both the U.S. and the U.K. typically advise people to engage in roughly two-and-a-half hours of moderate exercise a week in order to maintain proper weight and a healthy heart. Such recommendations, however, will do very little to improve fitness ability, strength, or endurance.
Adamson Nicholls, a 36-year-old martial arts enthusiast, explained in an interview that he was able to greatly improve his endurance by undertaking 45-minute interval training workouts once a week for six weeks. If he had been doing regular workouts, it would have taken him roughly three months to achieve the same outcome."

I am sixty.
ReplyDeleteI walk 3.5 up-and-down miles every morning right now. I walk fast. I use my arms in several different movement modes to walk fast and to exercise them too.
I also carry a rock in each hand, rocks that are roughly 1.5 times the size of a computer mouse. I pull these rocks to my chest fast as I walk, straight up, and from side to side varying the motion.
I also swim. I swim three times a week, which will be increased to five times a week when the summer pool hours start.
I swam as kid. BECAUSE I swam competitively as a kid, I can and do put in a good work-out.
Right now in fifty minutes I swim 120 lengths of a 25 yard pool in 50 minutes, -non-stop. I start out with a 200 I.M., for those who know what that is.
Exercise will help you lose weight. Exercise will not keep the weight off. Exercise will help you lose weight, but -exercise also will increase your appetite.
In order to keep the weight off, you have to change your diet.
I am now a vegetarian, if not religiously so.
I have cut out the salt as best as I can. I avoid sugars, white floors, -and- beans and cheese because these give me gas, and bloat my abdomen. I do not drink fruit juices.
I try not to eat until 1:00 p.m. -because I have found I eat less if I don't start eating earlier. I do not "diet". I simply eat things that satisfy me , things that are good for me and that will not cause weight gain.
Jalapeno Peppers are very satisfying for me -since- I cut out the salt. I hated peppers as a kid growing up. But food without salt seems bland -at first. The Jalapeno Peppers replaced the salt in my diet.
People tell me they "hate" peppers. Well, I make a little ditty with peppers that would change your mind about that. You have to experiment.
Here's an article that is wholly propaganda, straight from the Ministry of Propaganda.
The article deserves a new article post.

I do not think the murderous, junkie, Liar-Kenyan-President Soetoro should be drumming up hatred for Muslims this way, -by putting out a public call for a hit on some fictitious character with a turban on his head.
Everything in the article and especially the character portrayed in it are a total fabrication.
Fuck you, Barry Soetoro.
Arlin Specter is gone, and you are next, -along with most of the swine in Washington D.C. right now.
If Soetoro appoints the scumbag-Specter to some fishy government job, do not be surprised.
Wholesale change is coming. The collapse is accelerating.
WELCOME IT. HELP IT ALONG.
