The Tolerant, Patient, Generous Folks that Keep me Writing:
With all the doom and gloom lately concerning the New World Order, foreign troops on US soil, jack-booted thug police I thought this a good time to shine some positive light on the matter.
The public loves to shoot. They are armed. And if you don't think they are a force to take into serious consideration - my would-be tyrant friends - kindly contemplate the following video of one individual just having fun.
"Otis Rolley said he would, if elected, propose a $1 per bullet tax on all bullet purchases in the city. The idea was part of anoverall crime planhe unveiled Tuesday.
Read more:HERE
... and don't forget this formerly reported "great idea" to "stop crime" via ammunition registration:
"
"Micro-stamping"
"Encoded Ammunition"/Bullet Serialization
"Encoded Ammunition" (Bullet and Cartridge Case Serialization) Means: * Forfeiture of Currently-Owned Ammunition * A Separate Registration for Every Box of New Ammunition * Outrageously Expensive Ammunition Costs for Police & Private Citizens Alike *A Waste of Taxpayer Money, Better Spent on Traditional Police Programs In 2007, the sponsor of "encoded ammunition" legislation in Maryland urged lawmakers across the country to introduce the same kind of legislation in their states. The bill would require ammunition manufacturers to engrave a serial number on "the base of the bullet and the inside of the cartridge casing of each round" of ammunition for popular sporting caliber center-fire rifles, all center-fire pistols, all .22 rimfire rifles and pistols, and all 12 gauge shotguns."
...Yes - now THAT will stop the criminals from LEGALLY gaining access to ammunition - right?
Wrong! Lawbreakers don't buy guns legally except from YOUR GOVERNMENT! That's why they call them "lawbreakers" - because the law has no bearing on their decision-making process - whether it is now - or later - whether new laws are in place or not.
The idea is not necessarily to "use" our firearms to institute change - but to never forget the concept of "mutually assured destruction" (M.A.D.) - the same method of power balance our own government employed to maintain a check on Soviet nuclear power.
Is it not reasonable to use the same logic when it comes to maintaining a check on Federal power vis a vis We The People?
------
Note: I'm surprised at the negative comments abusing the citizen on the YouTube page. The video does a lot to highlight assumptions. If the citizen was not as well informed as he is ... Once they heard he really knew what he was talking about it seems things changed. But he was still searched in the end.
Something about police behavior isn't right. They don't seem interested in protecting the rights of citizens. It seems to me that the law is written there in California to allow harassment of the citizen open carrying. Meanwhile the real criminals just load up a stolen gun and stick in in their pocket out of view until they need to murder someone.
Reminds me of the time my nephew tried to buy a pack of smokes in California. The guy at the store "carded" him and when he handed the clerk his drivers license - the clerk didn't know what a Pennsylvania was.
I wonder if law enforcement people even know what they are really hired to do? It doesn't look that way. I see an "us vs. them" mentality meaning an attitude that the public is some unruly mob they have to bully into submission - like a kid who gets their school bus patrol badge for the first time.
-----
In this one they have another cop standing ready to gun him down...
" Guards and officials at a prison in northern Mexico allegedly let inmates out, lent them guns and allowed them to use official vehicles to carry out drug-related killings, including the massacre of 17 people last week, prosecutors said Sunday." ------- Note: Just remember - that buffoon globalist el Presidente from south of the border, Calderon, came to the United States crying that Americans need to give up their assault rifles because .... this is hard to believe... that those assault rifles are responsible for the violence in his corruption-ridden lawless country. Go HERE FOR POST ON LOSER EL PRESIDENT CALDERON'S WHINING ABOUT OUR SECOND AMENDMENT RIGHTS.
Send these globalist gun-grabbing scum packing. I'd like to see somebody try to get away with a similar caper, as in the above story, here in the states. You see, people here in America are armed with "assault rifles" [sic] which are simply semiautomatic weapons that allow one to defend themselves against any form of scum on the planet intent on murder.
" Violence-plagued Chicago's ban on handguns and automatic weapons was unique in its strictness -- only the District of Columbia had ever attempted to legislate an outright ban on handguns, and that was overturned by the Supreme Court in June 2008. But many states, such as New York, have extremely strict permit laws pertaining to purchasing and carrying firearms." ------ Note: And back in the late 80's when I lived in Washington, D.C. they were the murder capital of the world. Several years in a row - with the toughest gun laws. They blamed all their problems on Virginia. There is one place where prohibition works to control human behaviour - fantasyland.
I'm glad the public is armed because that will keep those intent on tyranny thinking. Recent history proves that even the American military with all their money and highly priced high-tech stuff fails when facing good old fashioned partisans.
I don't want everybody packing heat - but the recent actions of my government make me prefer a population armed to the teeth over a government armed to the teeth with a disarmed population.
One other thing - the cops are NOT protecting us. They have become an industry attached to the private prison industry, much of the "drug war" law industry, and the tyranny (war on horror/terror) industry. They only show up later to pick up the bodies and find somebody to blame.
Sorry if I'm so down on police - but they are no longer what they were when I was growing up. I new Mr. B. - the cop who lived in my neighborhood. He was a likable guy - you could talk to him. He was my neighbor. He did NOT wear black ninja outfits with gas masks and carry a machine gun.
The money is drying up - and the public is waking up. Nobody wants a police state - and these gun sales tell me nobody is going to tolerate one either. It also demonstrates that the public IS willing to take responsibility for their own protection. A much cheaper alternative to "safety" than hired thugs with assault weapons and Tasers.
Somehow I think the more guns out there - the LESS likely it will be that there will be a violent revolution. We'll see.
Consider this recent waste of money - pay special attention to the assortment of agencies, Police Departments and pseudo-soldiers involved in a false alarm:
Where's the bill for the waste above?
Here's another you may remember - where more high-tech goodies, at taxpayer expense are tested with our "public servants" hiding behind half-opened tinted cruiser windows. Obviously they forgot who they are supposed to work for...
Take a look at this excellent article - where we find that more guns means less crime. This comes from the FBI's own stats.
" The early 2009 data suggests the crime-dropping trend of 2008 is not just continuing but accelerating. In 2008, the same data showed a nearly 4 percent drop in murder and manslaughter, and an overall drop in violent crime of 1.9 percent from 2007 to 2008.—Associated Press"
Rabbit Conclusion:
The nanny state doesn't work. We are on our own here in America - nobody is coming to save us. The public seems OK with that. If only our government would stick to their real business - the business of protecting our liberty. They can't lead, we won't follow - perhaps they should just get out of our way.
" Gun control is not only a 2nd Amendment issue, it also relates to other parts of the Constitution. The 2nd Amendment states, "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." The 10th Amendment states, "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."
In a conversation with G. Edward Griffin, he said that there are two competing philosophies about the Bill of Rights:"
-----
Note: As usual the power-hungry federal government is leading us toward a path of ever-concentrating power - taking more and more control over the states with the ultimate goal that each state will become no more than a small federally run area.
The civil war demonstrated that real states rights - in other words the right to secede from the union wasn't an option - mostly because might makes right and the union had the power. That situation in some respects still exists - in some respects doesn't exist. The federal government is broke and everybody hates them - foreign and domestic - that is - except those who are stuck in an endless cycle living in the war industry.
This time - the "rebels" would not bear the onerous burden they did last time - that is - slavery does not exist. Slavery, which needed to die, was forever a part of the old states-rights south. But the states rights people today have right on their side - and no burden like slavery to give would-be allies reason not to help. For example - Great Britain, while providing some support, like the surreptitious building of the CSS Alabama, could not be relied upon as a great political ally because slavery had already been abhored in Great Britain for some time. Lincoln, grasping this, was able to prevent war support from GB to the Confederacy by "freeing the slaves" making it impolitic for Britain to support the South from that point on. But when one looks at how much he actually "freed the slaves" it was political more than anything. The people who hated slavery in the North and in the South were actually responsible for spearheading that great cause. It took great sacrifice on the part of the people to move that issue forward - the law followed.
Here we are today facing many parallels from the past history of this country - with civil war being one. The label of "terrorist" will continue to be used by the globalists to frame their opponents - the Patriot movement - intent on the preservation of the Bill of Rights, and Constitution of the United States - and hopefully US sovereignty. We shall see - the masses getting most of their information from Corporate and State controlled media are still in a deep trance.
As the money runs out and the Fed/Globalists accelerate their plan to forfeit US sovereignty, our rights and eventually expose us to global taxation, when the bills start showing up in the mailboxes is when the stuff will hit the fan. Perhaps our politicians can be replaced with statesmen before this gloomy futurescape takes a more focused and blatant appearance.
This latest gun legislation - in my opinion - may avert conflict between the states and feds that were lining up for a battle over states gun rights - but I don't think it is going to solve the problem. In fact I think it will eventually get worse as the Feds are addicted to power and the states run out of money and rights to support the fed/globalist's addiction.
But please take a look at the article - G. Edward Griffin is extremely sensible and usually presents solutions. See also the vid on the left side of this blog - The Dangerous Servant.
By the way - I would warn readers to be careful if watching anything Glenn Beck does that has to do with this issue. His propaganda is very clever - and mixes elements of truth like this issue - with dangerous notions undermining our Bill of Rights - like "shoot him in the head." This statement he makes - accurately tells you his view - kill 'em all let God sort them out.
I would remind EVERYONE that trials before punishment are important - required by law - and become super-important to YOU when you are under arrest and someone who hates YOU is in a position to be judge jury and executioner. Practice your critical thinking skills when that con artist is busy putting on his fake-patriot act. Look for contradictions between what he is saying and the true security of America. How about he talks about 911 being an inside job? Tough to do when he was such a strong anti-911-truther running interference for the biggest con ever pulled off on the American public - one still successfully covered up thanks to con-men like him.
By the way - didn't Glenn Beck appear on the scene right after 9-11-01 - I mean within minutes after having been a nobody? Now he has this idiotic 9-12 project. Perfect to erase from the mind of the public the events of 9-11-2001. We'll just keep repeating 9-12 to the mushroom masses over and over and over again and maybe they will forget that elements of their own government slaughtered 3,000 civilians, covered it up, used it to start illegal wars in Iraq and Afghanistan - continues to use it to start illegal wars and continues to cover it up.
Glenn Beck never says bring the troops home. His job is to use everything in his power to keep your mind off the issues that really matter by using some that, although important, are unrelated to the real solutions, but will keep you divided from agreement with your neighbors or even members of your government. Think how you always walk away angry when Glenn is on the air. Anger is not a way to enter into negotiations when you are looking for common ground. We need to come together not become more divided. Glenn Beck is a fraud. Period. Turn him OFF.
Notice: "Shoot him in the head before ..." Before what? Just listen. That's how you know he's a traitor to our laws.
Here is the Glenn "shoot him in the head" report on this issue - be careful when listening to this side-show:
" "It is clear that the Framers . . . counted the right to keep and bear arms among those fundamental rights necessary to our system of ordered liberty," Justice Samuel A. Alito Jr. wrote for the conservatives on the court."
" A group of nearly 200 "extremely concerned citizens" in a small Montana county are demanding that local leaders fill out a "questionnaire" pledging to form a local militia, prohibit mandatory vaccinations, boot the EPA out of town, allow citizens to bear any type of gun, and require federal government employees to get written approval before approaching "any Citizen." ------- Note: Looks like they were right about the vaccines...
I find the disrespectful tone of Chris Matthews toward Mr. William Kostric disgusting.
1. Why can't Chrissy talk like a gentleman and quit pretending that there is no 2nd Amendment? 2. Why doesn't Chrissy have any respect for states rights? 3. Why is Chrissy always shouting? 4. Why does Chrissy press the guest he demonizes to comment on the Obama birther stuff when the guy says he hasn't studied the issue and doesn't have an opinion? 5. Why doesn't Chrissy have any respect for the words of Thomas Jefferson? 6. Why doesn't Chrissy goddam a gun when cops carry them? Would he goddam them then? 7. Why like almost everybody on corporate TV and radio and print media does Chrissy SEE NO EVIL? (He's a reporter) 8. Why does it never dawn on Chrissy-poo that perhaps this armed citizen could DEFEND THE PRESIDENT from assassination which is part of the advantage of an armed citizenry? 9. Chrissy mistakes the words on the man's sign - and takes the name of "our Lord" in vain. I thought Chrissy was a Catholic? 10. Why is Chrissy yelling at this man for something Thomas Jefferson said? Why is Chrissy so NOT a fan of Thomas Jefferson? 11. Why doesn't Chrissy understand that Thomas Jefferson, the originator of the man's quote, WAS A PRESIDENT!!! Perhaps Jefferson, not being a Tyrant and a friend of Liberty and the people... well you get the idea. 12. Finally: This is a lesson for all revolutionary thinkers, planners, writers, protesters and liberty lovers everywhere in getting media attention legally , peacefully, and articulately. Hats off to the "crazed gun-carrying protester" (decoded PATRIOT) for an example of free speech and exercise of our rights as spelled out in the easy-to-read Bill of Rights and Constitution.
Ron Paul on Ed Schultz regarding this:
As Long as it is NOT CONCEALED:
More from the protester:
Mr. Kostric gets a chance to speak on Alex Jones - Kostric knows - EXERCISE your RIGHTS or lose them.
Let me tell readers that when criticizing murderers one must be prepared to defend themselves against...well...murderers. I am not pro-violence - in fact it sickens me - but without the right to bear arms we will all simply have to cower in fear. Sorry if you don't like my expressions of those sentiments.
I read somewhere recently of an analogy: A Firearm is an inanimate tool with a function comparable to that of a Fire Extinguisher. Also that possession of a Fire Extinguisher DOES NOT imply intention to commit arson yet acknowledges the possibility of fire. Am I making a fair comparison? Should all Fire Extinguishers be confiscated (to protect children perhaps) thereby betting all on the fire department to protect our houses from burning down?
What's the first Amendment without the second Amendment? I wonder about that sometimes. Is it safe to exercise unpopular speech in the U.S.? Does our government really really really "keep us safe?" -- Or do we keep ourselves safe? I wonder about that too. -------- UPDATE AUGUST 18, 2009 Friends of Gun Control from the Past -----------
Hey! What's all the hype about second amendment? Although I have WAY MORE TO SAY RIGHT THIS SECOND THAN I AM DISCLOSING - I would like to take the liberty to ask each and every American reader to try to buy an AK-47 right now - and report back with whether or not you could purchase it.
Lemme know what state and reasons for refusal in the comments section so everybody can see.
I know that the difference between our political judicial joke and France is this: We are INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY whereas THEY ARE GUILTY UNTIL PROVEN INNOCENT!
HA HA! C'MON YALL MAMBY PAMBYS! LET'S hear YOUR RHETORIC ABOUT LOSS OF SECOND AMENDMENT!
A summary: Would make it illegal to own a firearm - any rifle with a clip or ANY pistol unless: It is registered. You are fingerprinted. You supply a current Driver's License. You supply your Social Security #. You will submit to a physical & mental evaluation at anytime of their choosing.
Each update - change or ownership through private or public sale must be reported and costs $25 - Failure to do so you automatically lose the right to own a firearm and subject you to up to a year in jail.
There is a child provision clause on page 16 section 305 stating a child-access provision. Gun must be locked and inaccessible to any child under 18.
They would have the right to come and inspect that you are storing your gun safely away from accessibility to children and fine is punishable for up to 5 yrs. in prison.
Perhaps this snippet from the bill says it all: "SEC. 801. INAPPLICABILITY TO GOVERNMENTAL AUTHORITIES.
2 This Act and the amendments made by this Act shall not apply to any department or agency of the United States, of a State, or of a political subdivision of a State, or to any official conduct of any officer or employee of such a department or agency."
How do those who've sworn an (CLICK) oath to the U.S. Constitution square this attack on our inalienable rights with these words (from Wikipedia):
"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God."
As was predicted by the American public - here come the gun grabbers to take away the right to bear arms by any means possible - including infringement. Yes - now they'll take away the ammo. If eliminating access to ammunition for legal arms doesn't infringe on firearms use I don't know what does. It seems obvious that a gun is useless without ammo. But try telling that to a dictator.
Despite a landmark ruling overturning years of gun ban in Washington, D.C. they will try (CLICK)new angles of attack to eliminate the "problem" of gun ownership in America. The second amendment has nothing to do with sports - it has to do with being the last ditch effort against tyranny. Yes - it really is that simple. Two following videos discuss such matters - make sure to listen through to the second half of the second video.
But always remember as you are disarmed by the very government (see #59) set up to protect your rights outlined in the Bill of rights - that if the US government thinks someone needs shooting - there are (CLICK) lots of guns'n'ammo for that!
Please watch this short video. It will take a lot to "control" this place - would you agree? Perhaps when (CLICK) Americans arrive they will greet us with flowers?
