Why Apologize, Helen!?

Read entire article here:

" Meanwhile, my only complaint about Helen's anti-Zionist truth-blurt is...why the bleep did she apologize? Why apologize to traitors who have taken over our media in service to a hostile foreign power? Why apologize to apologists for genocide? Why apologize for telling the truth?"

The Outrage at Helen Thomas

Read entire article here:

" According to eyewitness reports and forensic evidence, many of these aid volunteers were shot at close range, including a 19-year-old American citizen killed by four bullets to the head and one to the chest fired from 18 inches away.

Israel immediately imprisoned eyewitnesses and hundreds of other aid participants, confiscated their cameras, laptops, and other possessions, and prevented them from speaking to the press for days. Among the incarcerated were decorated U.S. veterans and an 80-year-old former ambassador who had been deputy director of Reagan’s Cabinet Task Force on Terrorism.

When they finally emerged and were able to tell their stories, many described horrific scenes of Israeli commandos shooting people in the head, of those tending the injured being shot in the stomach, of people bleeding to death while flotilla participants waved white flags and pled for help.

They also described being beaten brutally by Israeli forces, again and again – including those on ships that, in the U.S. media’s judgment, experienced “no violence.” A 64-year-old piano tuner from California, Paul Larudee, described hundreds of Israeli commandos boarding his ship. When he refused to cooperate with them, soldiers then beat him numerous times both on board the ship and after he was imprisoned on land."

Helen Thomas retires after Israel remark flap

Read entire article here:

" WASHINGTON — Longtime Washington journalist Helen Thomas abruptly retired Monday as a columnist for Hearst News Service following remarks she made about Israel that were denounced by the White House and her press corps colleagues.
The 89-year-old Thomas, dean of the White House press corps, has long been a fixture in Washington and has been lauded as a pioneering journalist who has covered presidents since 1960.
Known for her confrontational questioning, Thomas apologized for comments that were captured on video and have spread widely on the Internet. On the May 27 video, Thomas says Israelis should "get the hell out of Palestine," suggesting they go to Germany, Poland or the U.S.
Hearst announced her retirement, effective immediately, shortly after White House press secretary Robert Gibbs called her remarks "offensive and reprehensible."

Note: Helen Thomas you are heroic. I'll miss you and so will just about everybody else. The media will not reflect this so the public can settle in and accept their own conclusions - but take it from me. You are a hero. You are one of my heroes.

Actions Speak Louder Than Words-Helen Thomas

It's official - Obama is now President of the U.S.. The torture president and his accomplice have left the White House. Now what?

Almost everyone is full of hope. Personally I don't play that game anymore. I agree with Helen Thomas - I want to see action.

Obama's inaugural speech (Click Here) is comforting, to me at least, because he mentions an intent to adhere to the founding documents as he leads the country into a brighter future - and hopefully restores America's role in the world as "Good Guy."

But I'll wait to see where Obama stands on important issues like holding the Bush administration accountable for misdeeds like torture, and 911 truth . Those issues will tell me whether we are looking at true change. If these issues are not addressed one must wonder why. I urge the reader to consider these important points as the hype recedes and reality returns. Actions speak louder than words.

Put me on record as being in agreement with this journalist:
