" Manufacturers must pay the province a levy for recycling their products. Some companies are passing these costs, ranging from a few cents to several dollars per product, onto consumers"

Note: Since my Jeep has 120K miles on it - I thought it was time to change the transmission fluid, that is, if I want the vehicle to keep running. But I've been told that it is "lifetime fluid" - hmmmmm. What to do?
I looked in the manual - it says the fluid should be done at intervals - scratching my head - I thought of a Beemer X5 I had in the past that had a transmission with no dipstick. That transmission blew up at 70,000 miles. Fortunately the vehicle was still within about 500 miles of warranty so I didn't have to pay the close to 10 grand for the transmission replacement. What to do?
I talked to a friend who built a few cars and he said, regarding lifetime transmission fluid, "That's bullshit. I've heard they do that to avoid paying some kind of tax.
Well take a look at the linked article and perhaps you will agree that I need to change that fluid.
