U.S. deploying heavily armored battle tanks for first time in Afghan war

Note:  ...which raises the question:  "Why did it take this long and this many lives to quote takes the gloves off unquote?"  


Oh yeah - good thing these tanks are "heavily armored" armor.  That's a good thing for sure.


This shows me we are losing big time.  The other weapons systems are not working - now they are bringing in tanks for more protection - a defensive move in my opinion.
